Austerity!

http://www.ndtv.com/news/india/rahul_gandhi_goes_trekking.php

I am not against people having fun at times (and go for a vacation) but I am against some people preaching others to live in austerity and then themselves enjoying the pleasures of life (of course when away from public)

I am not against people who wear expensive clothes but I am against those who wear a khaadi kurtah all the time in front of the cameras(when the public who considers them God is seeing them) and otherwise come to their natural expensive self.

I am not against people being indifferent to the needy but I am against those who are hypocrites.

PS:
1. The father of Indian Socialism (Nehru) had all the expensive luxuries at his home but had the audacity to prevent any person become rich due to his 'principles' (of bridging the class divide.)
2. His daughter who gave the slogan "garibi hatao" and taxed 97% of people's wealth had given her youngest son airplanes. Sadly the same son died while he was performing a loop by a newly (by whose money?) brought aircraft.
3. Her daughter in law (Sonia) whose government thinks that this poor country doesn't have money to pay IIT professors decently, sent her son to study in a college in Florida. (You can imagine a college in Florida- like a college in Goa!)
And then I think deeply that there is nothing wrong in it, after all as Amitabh Bachchan famously said- there can be no comparison between us and them-"wo raaja hain, hum rank hain"!

PPS: Rahul famously started traveling in a train rather than a flight, so as to save money for the poor farmers. And his sensitive, emotional, benevolent response was widely reported. Has anyone any clue how many times that sensitive, emotional, benevolent act was repeated!

Targetting IITs...

Just searched for the three people who have been made incharge of correcting IIT JEE!
http://dst.gov.in/about_us/secretary-resume.htm
http://www.usaindiachamber.org/mkbhan.shtml
http://www.igib.res.in/director.html
Not even one has qualified JEE.
Not even one has been in IIT system.
Not even one is an engineer.
Its as if Britishers constituted Simon Commission to reform India and there was no Indian in that committee.
And IIT is one of the most established brand that India has produced and it should be the last cause of concern for the Government.
Shockingly for the last 3 years every 6 months there is one issue they come up with to correct. And it would stop only when IITs would become like any other institution. And the only way to get good education in India would be to spend 40 lakh Rs and study in some college of US.
